Enough (Silence can not be an option)

So much has been going on in our world and like many of you I am trying to process it all. Between the Pandemic & social injustices, my energy has been heavy. Heavy in the sense that I have felt an array of emotions; from frustration to out right hurt. I have prayed, I have cried , and I have conversed with others in regards to how we can bring about change. Silence can not be an option.

Silence is something that many people feel comfortable in because it takes no action. Silence requires no change, no discussion, no assistance & no advocacy. But I believe that as a child of God I can not be silent. When I prayed to God concerning what I can do to bring about change and fight against social injustices God spoke very clearly to me. My role in the movement against racism & social injustice is to encourage the masses to seek God in all that they do but to also motivated them to keep fighting against anything that promotes hate and death.

We can not afford to be silent. As I think about the current state of America, I think about Queen Esther's story. Haman plotted to kill the Jews who were the same ethnicity & religion as Queen Esther . Queen Esther originally was going to be silent concerning the potential demise of her people but Mordecai made a powerful statement to her " If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?” It is time to do something to bring about change.

Guided Notes has joined with a group a like-minded entrepreneurs to form a united front to say enough is enough; no more silence. We will all release clothing that expresses this. I pray that everyone take time to talk to God and do some soul searching on what they can do to bring about change. Not everyone will protest, but you can vote. Not everyone will give speeches but you can have a conversation that can start to bring about change. Everyone can play a role, what's yours? Silence is not an option. ENOUGH.
